Kelly Ferraro was the lead therapist at the University of California, Los Angeles, Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program (UCLA ECPHP) for a classroom of children with high-functioning autism and severe behavior disorders. Kelly helped design and implement comprehensive treatment plans to improve the students’ behavioral, social, emotional, and cognitive functioning.
Additionally, Kelly taught weekly social skills groups for young children with autism.
Kelly was instrumental in developing and testing the lessons in the curriculum, and adapting them for group instruction in the classroom. Using a team of assistant teachers and volunteers, Kelly applied the lessons in the curriculum to students, and adapted them as needed to make them as accessible as possible for teachers to replicate.
Kelly is currently pursuing her degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
